Life in Pieces

Many of the quilts I make are memory quilts. The scraps left over from those quilts never feel like mine, but I can’t throw them away either. For this quilt, I decided to overdue a few of the most beloved scraps (including from a best friend who passed away and a crib sheet from my children) with indigo. The cotton muslin is from a set of curtains my mother sewed. Quilted with reclaimed thread from Jenas. The pattern is a log cabin block.
