I thought about not posting about the thobe I’m making at all on my grid for that reason… but I want to share how much I love this thobe making class by @thethobeproject. Samia is a person whose presence is like a living library. Her next thobe making cohort starts in July. 🧵 . . [details for makers] our hands testify to how we used them. Our callouses build in the same ways as for those who practiced our crafts in generations gone by. We’ll never fully understand their lives, but we can get closer by picking up our needles.
